Naan bread with a twist

Lately, I have been trying to learn how to make bread. Searching through youtube, cooking websites etc, i found Naan Bread. I love naan bread and when i see how it is made, hmmmm I think i can try.

In 1st bowl, mix & leave it about 30 minute: 1 large teaspoon of yeast1 teaspoon of sugar2 tablespoons of warm water

In 2nd bowl, put:2 1/2 cups of plain flour (plus extra if needed)1/2 teaspoon of salt1/2 teaspoon of baking powder3 large tablespoons of plain yoghurt4 tablespoons of milk (i use bear brand)

Optional to coat the bread or filling:1 can of sarden (i use ayam brand), mix with chili & pete (stinky beans) --> this is my twisted naan breadChop Spring onion as you like mix with olive oil (or you can use garlic, but i don't really like garlic)butter to coat or i use olive oil

Mix all ingredients in 2nd bowl. After that, pour in the 1st bowl to the 2nd bowl. Mix it well and better use hand until the dough is smooth. Put the tough in a grease bowl, cover and let it rise for about 1 hour.
(I must be patient to wait).

While waiting, make the optional coating or filling.
Anyway you can fill it with anything you like. Some use spinach, or cheese, etc.

After 1 hour, beat the dough and i divide it to 5. Use extra flour for beating the dough so it won't sticky.
See the pictures bellow for what i make with the dough.
I bake it each dough depends on it's type.
The naan about 10 minute, the Rosa De'Pete is around 15 minute (because it thicker with filling), and the croissant wanna be is around 5-10 minute because it is small.

I know it is not so perfect, far from perfect. But, i can say that i am happy enough to have the courage to try making a bread. Yeeaayy for me :)

Here it is, " Rosa De'Pete", meaning in Bahasa Roti Sarden Dengan Pete
Naan bread with Sarden filling.
Baked with oven

Naan bread with Sarden filling.
Sarden mix with chillies and petai (pete or stinky beans).
I call it " Rosa De'Pete", meaning in Bahasa Roti Sarden Dengan Pete

Trying to make Naan Bread but, my concentration is distracted and i roll the bread too thin. So i fold it and it became layered. Since i am not really like garlic, so i change it to "daun bawang" or spring onion with white pepper & chili powder

Since i divide the dough to 5, so i try to make different shapes although i know it is probably not the right type of dough to make croissant. But i just give it a shot. Just for fun :)
The Croissant wanna be :) Unfortunately, i didn't took a picture of the baked result. The tase is well... not a croissant hahaha...
